global t-shirt design competition UTGP 2018
The first time I heard about this competition was last year, when I posted about the Nintendo theme. but Uniqlo has been doing this considering that 2011. For a little background, UNIQLO has progressed from textiles maker founded in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1949 to clothing apparel company. It is a global brand with over 1000 stores all over the world.
Entry to the Uniqlo’s 2018 global t-shirt design competition opened July 25th and designers anywhere are invited to express their creativity based on this year’s theme – MARVEL! The lucky winner receives $10,000 along with the design featured in the 2018 MARVEL UTGP collection!
The deadline is August 31st!
Every marvel production has been on a roll in the last years, both at the box office and in terms of popularity. t-shirt creating is a lot more typically than not about such themes. So the competition will be high, because illustrators focused on this niche are well versed in the subject. Not to mention that the very consistent prize entails strict requirements and a long, complex selection process by the UTGP 2018 marvel Panel of Judges. No pressure, right?
There are no entry fees, you can submit as lots of designs as you want and the winner will be announced in the summer of 2018. There are lots of questions answered and lots of guidelines to follow, so make sure you read everything before submitting.
